Compassion Fatigue
In this series, I create eccentric abstraction, layering loose lines and ladders against washes of dissonant contrasting colors against large areas of empty space. While creating off-balance and complex compositions my work sheds light on how I feel in a constant compassion fatigue. |

Abstract Freedom
Series: Abstract Freedom
Abstract Freedom consisted of six wooden panels and was inspired by the (then) current restraints of socializing, exploring new adventures, confidence, and courage. Painting and mark-making give me a sense of Freedom that I often see in my students' eyes. Adding layers of paint, chalk, gloss, and marker pens to the wood gives me a sense of Freedom and joy. |
