Artist, Educator & Reseracher
Laura Irmis graduated from St. Pete College with an AS in Graphic Design and then moved on to gain her BA in Visual Arts. This was followed by a period of working as a graphic designer and then art director. She began teaching adult night classes in ceramics at local galleries while completing an artist-in-residence to fuel her passion in pottery. She began teaching high school art with Pinellas County, Florida while retaining her Florida Teaching Certificate. After nine years of teaching, she took the leap as a full-time ceramic artist and now is selling her work throughout the state of Florida.
